Sharing your home with an Aby.....
Abyssinians are of a medium build, lithe, energetic cat. They are unique in their beautiful rich coats due to their ‘Agouti-Ticking’. Each individual hair shaft is banded with colour. They have large well-set ears gently cupped at the base, and facial markings, which outline their eyes and give each Aby their own ‘expression’. They very much resemble a miniature cougar.
Abyssinians are available in Tawny, Blue, Cinnamon, and Fawn. They also come in a Silver version of these colours.
We started breeding with our hearts set on just Tawny, however since producing our first Blues we are hooked, and 2009 has seen the introduction of our first Cinnamon at Jodaerin. We will continue to focus on our Tawny’s, however the Blues and Cinnamons do present a new challenge for us.

From my own experience after so many years of having abys own our lives, they are alive and vibrant they will shower you with love and affection and are incredibly loyal to their family.
Abys will push the boundaries of curiosity to the extreme they have to know what is behind every door, in each cupboard and every drawer in the house.
They love people and being involved with everything you do including most household chores & any craft projects and abys love water and bubbles!
Each day they have what I call ‘A black eyed Aby moment’ their eyes are huge and black and they hurtle around the house with seemingly boundless amounts of energy chasing their make believe rabbit!
Abys are sensitive to your moods they are very comforting when you are sad, lonely or sick and when all is well they quiver their tails, knead their paws and purr loudly.
They have gentle soft little voices, and few are content with one ...........
Abys can be easily trained to walk on a harness outside, above is Thomas, and he loves to explore and run in the garden on his harness.

Jodaerin Rebel Heart
Jodaerin Rebel Heart has joined Jenni & Dennis of Asmara Abys in QLD.
He has settled in well & Jenni is thrilled with him, we are honoured that Jenni choose Rebel to become part of her breeding programme. Rebel is from Johari Kashmir Khan & Sapph Gd ch Taliz Cracklin Rosie
